
Begert Ranch is an individually owned and operated 10,150 acre working cattle ranch. Hiram Begert and his family have raised black registered Limousin cattle on the pastures of this ranch since 1974 when they first crossed their Angus-based females to fullblood Limousin bulls. Trophy Hunts

Begert Ranch is a sportsman’s oasis. Large herds of whitetail deer graze the pastures of the ranch. Trophy bucks have been only watched for years. Rio Grande turkeys abound along the Washita River bottoms.
The 2002-03 hunting season was the first commercial hunting had ever taken place on Begert Ranch. The season was very successful for those who hunted here.
The Begert family has spent many years watching, feeding and taking care of the wildlife on the ranch and we have worked very hard on range and grass management.
Therefore, we will not over-hunt the ranch. Only a few hunts will be offered. Thus, giving the hunters their money’s worth and ensuring Begert Ranch plenty of quality game to reproduce and be available for the next season.
