Our Customers
When someone calls us up and
asks what we think about this year's calf crop of registered Limousin cattle, our answer
is always the same: "Well, we like them pretty well."
To some folks that might sound like
faint praise. But at Begert Ranch it isn't: it's respect for our customers.
After more than thirty years in the
registered Limousin business, we know that few things are as personal or individual as the
tastes of a cattle buyer. The animal that we think hung the moon might get passed over by
a customer for one that we hadn't paid nearly as much attention to. The characteristics in
a particular animal that we think are appealing might not be the same things that the
customer is looking at.

What our customers want, and how
they see a particular animal as fitting into their herd, is something we try to cater to,
not something we try to command and control.
Although we're slow to brag too much
on our cattle--we believe that the best way to brag is to show them to you--we actively
work with our customers to make sure that they get what's right for them.
At Begert Ranch, we don't "hold
back the best ones" for our herd. We'll show you every cow we've got, and will talk
plainly about what we like and don't like about any animal. We won't try to sway your
opinion, but we'll sure do our best to share what we know about the animals we raise so
that you get what you want.

We pasture our animals by age so
that you can see what your calves will look like at comparable time periods, and we take
pains to show you what your animal's mother and father look like. Seeing, we believe, is
believing.
Another advantage to buying from us
is that when you come out to the ranch you get to see the whole herd of 500 animals.
Whether you're looking at the tailheads, udders, legs, scrotal, disposition, or
confirmation, you'll get an excellent cross-section of what our herd in particular and the
breed in general have to offer.
The paramount concern for most
customers is that they get the best animal for the best price. For some, that means having
us go out and choose the animals that we like best. For others, that means making the
decision exclusively by themselves. For still others, that means doing a little of both.
And if we're proud about anything,
it's this: we offer the same attention to detail and quality to every customer, regardless
of how large or small their operation.
The reason we take this approach is
simple: over 90% of our customers are repeat customers, and satisfaction with price,
product, service, and quality is the only way to keep people coming back.
